Serenity

"The beach club is just a short walk from the property and with its beautiful island lounge decor, we headed there often to swim and bask in the sun."
When Xperience Hotels invited me to stay at Serenity Eco Luxury Tented Camp, I thought to myself "A tent in the jungle of Mexico.. hmm" I was skeptical but not deterred. I did some research and immediately I realized that this was not an ordinary place. Flights booked and car service arranged, were off to Mexico.
Nestled between Cancun and Tulum is a small area in the dense jungle coastline known as Xpu-Hà. With white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, secluded jungle, and minutes from Tulum, Xpu-Hà is the perfect location for a get-away. Arriving at Serenity, my husband and I immediately felt a sense of belonging and overwhelming calm. Walking into the tent which houses the front desk, we were immediately greeted by a lovely staff who spoke great English, were very helpful, and genuine. We headed to Tent #18 on a smooth stone marked path through beautiful greenery and ancient doorways. Our room was sat on the back edge of the property and featured a large deck with a view into the jungle. We were told that the Serenity builders positioned each tent to maximize the feeling of privacy and we felt exactly that. The tent was... well anything but a tent. It was a full-blown resort room with the bed up front and the bath behind a solid sectioning wall. There were plugs for electronic devices, a closet, mini fridge, Wifi, and best of all they have A/C! no wonder they call it a Luxury Tent. We loved spending time in the tent away from everyone except for nature itself. The tent also held up very well in wet conditions. We had some rain and at night the sounds of the rain on the tent roof and the jungle were magical. Over the next few days, we explored the grounds and got acquainted with our surroundings. The beach club is just a short walk from the property and with its beautiful island lounge decor, we headed there often to swim and bask in the sun. We often ate at the on-site restaurant which has an amazing menu and terrific food.
Our experience at Serenity was incredible in every way. We had loads of good things to say about the staff, the grounds, and the "serene" vibes, Serenity is a place everyone should experience at least once.
