Three years ago, like many others, I found myself in search of something elusive—a sanctuary amid the chaos. Lockdown confined me, prompting a yearning for the tranquility of nature. In that pursuit, I stumbled upon much more than solace. I discovered the bliss of the mirco, the allure of design, and the sheer act of creation.
This past summer, my journey led me to Sarakiniko in Milos, Greece—a place I had long dreamt of visiting for its mesmerizing volcanic terrain and majestic cliffs. The raw beauty of this landscape captivated me and sparked a creative fervor within me. I felt a deep urge to craft something tangible that could encapsulate the serene grandeur of that place, something I could hold in my hand to rekindle my connection with its atmosphere. It’s in these little, gentle moments that the extraordinary reveals itself.
Out of this inspiration emerged the Kiniko Cup—the essence of that perfectly imperfect landscape, a testament to my quest to capture and relive the tranquility and majesty of Sarakiniko.
